It appears that Trump's efforts were futile.
Israel started this war so let that be noted by all historians...
Note the difference between their attacks and attacks perpetrated against them:
Well over 1000 intentional civilian victims targeted with no military objective other than to trigger a response that could be used for propaganda.
vs.
Less than 500 killed or wounded with the intent of removing nuclear capability from a terrorist state that is intent on destroying them.

I think you are wrong on this one -- time will tell.
Trump uses military capability for negotiation more than actual deployment.
He runs the country as a business and as such, he abhors waste.
War is as wasteful as it gets.

It is worthwhile to consider this aspect:
Israel is serving the entire world — taking huge risks to stop Iran from going nuclear FTA:
Good for Israel, acting as it has before (the 1967 war, the takedown of Saddam Hussein’s nuclear program in 1981 and strikes on Syria in 2007) to preempt a clear existential threat to its continued existence.
No serious player on the world stage can honestly deny that Tehran has been on its final run to gaining nuclear weapons, and while some will quibble about whether the regime intended to use nukes to destroy “the Little Satan” (as it has called Israel for five decades), Jerusalem could hardly afford to take the chance.

The rest of the Middle East, indeed the world, gets to free-ride on Israel’s bold self-defense: The IDF is moving to take out what would’ve been a menace to everyone else, including those foolish enough to think Iran is an ally.
