Maybe we can return to the good old days... a more innocent and fun time.

Personal history note: My father-in-law knew the Beach Boys when they first got together and were practicing in their garage.
Other personal history note: Though they never knew him, two of my kids went to school with the future mass murderer in Aurora, Colorado.
Still another personal history note: As a kid, I remember playing kick-the-can with a neighbor who later became a co-founder of the SLA.

When one lives in California, it is easy to cross paths of famous/infamous people.

By any chance was your father in law named Charles Manson?

Charles Manson and The Beach Boys, specifically Dennis Wilson, were indeed connected. Wilson briefly befriended Manson in 1968, even becoming fascinated with him and introducing him to the rest of the band. Manson, at the time, was seeking a music career and Wilson, impressed by Manson's songwriting, even considered signing him to the band's record label according to Wikipedia. However, the relationship was short-lived, and ultimately ended due to Manson's erratic behavior and escalating involvement with the "Family".

For the record, my parents loved the Beach Boys too.

Was that the movie theater killings? There are so many mass murders in Colorado for some reason. I remember the Columbine High School one...

In CT I have personally met a few famous people too.. Martha Stewart, Brian Cashman (New York Yankees GM), Ron Howard (lives a few miles away), the former owner of the Mets Fred Wilpon, There are a ton of famous celebrities in CT because of its proximity to NY.

I met Dick Blumenthal who is a total scumbag, and I used to live near Chris Murphy another Scum bag...

It's a very small state.

No, but he did have an unusual record of marriage.
He is the only person I know of who, not only married his mother, but his own daughter from his first wife.

Yeah.

The one that bothered me the most was my neighbor.
I knew her from elementary school through high school.
We had similar values and, though we were too young to vote, we both were active in Goldwater's campaign.
Then she went to Cal Berkeley and changed radically.
Most famously, she was one of Patty Hearst's kidnappers and later died in a shootout with SWAT.
This is one of the reasons I'm so adamant in blaming our liberal educational system for many of our problems.

Okay. You outnumber me in the famous/infamous encounters.
California doesn't have lock on them.
