Canola Oil is actually an oil crushed from the [laboratory][selected breeding] product of the Rape Seed.
It was not marketed as RAPE SEED OIL due to the strong suspicion that folks with religiously feeble minds would oppose the product.
The plant was developed by the University of Manitoba.
The Prime Minister of Canada at the time John G Diefenbaker. He was from the prairies and was pissed as rape seed was perfectly good name.

It actually flew at Mach 2.4 in 1958 with a smaller engine sourced form the US.
It was cancelled in February 1959. (The Orenda designed Iroquois engine was still under development.)
The reason was that the CF-105 could over fly the U-2 Spy plane. It had a higher ceiling.
Since the US does not need Canada, they have started selling to other countries.
This means that when is US wants to buy stuff Canada will give the "Ole Mother Hubbard" excuse. [Ain't got none!]
Canada is Mean and Nasty. Canada is unfair. Canada has been leeching on the US. Roger that!
The fact is that is US will not need as much cooking oil, without Canadian fertilizer US farm yields will crater.

The US got the moon with the expertise of Canadian and British engineers.
