I have got this correct?

Mr Trump is kicking Canada and Canadians in the nuts.
The US Ambassador to Canada, Mr Pete Hoekstra, says he is fuming due to the anti-American sentiment in Canada.
Mr. Ambassador why are you surprised??

Just for the record at the moment Canada needs the US market however Canada is moving on.
The US needs Canada. 60% of US oil comes from Canada.
If the Canadian Oil supply stops, the refineries that were built specifically for Canadian crude will be worthless.
There is little oil from other sources. And if there were there are no US refineries to refine it.

The price of gas WILL skyrocket. And that is just for starters.

Canada has a large supply of the minerals the US NEEDS.
Copper and Aluminum use extremely large quantities of energy to refine.
Energy that is not available. And if available would be very expensive. Houses will go dark.

The rest of the world sees Canada as a stable supplier oriented on customer service and with no political strings attached.

I am not sure whether it is still true, however at one time 75% of the nurses working in Detroit hospitals were Canadian (NAFTA) CUSMA workers.
Without them four of the five hospitals would have to close.

I saw a US JPG.

My grandparents immigrated from Europe to avoid poverty and fascism.
I am immigrating to Europe to avoid poverty and fascism in America.

Give it a little time to play out.
Remember, we had a viable energy policy in Trump's first term and didn't sell off reserves to stabilize prices.
Consider this: Fact Sheet: President Donald J. Trump Establishes the National Energy Dominance Council
FTA:
Quote
During President Trump’s first term, our Nation became a net exporter of energy for the first time in nearly 70 years and transformed into the world’s leading oil producer.
[...snip...]
Under President Trump’s leadership, American families saved an average of $2,500 per year in utility and gas costs, while the economy at large saw the creation of new American energy jobs.
