Canada is now restricting the transfer of metals and power to the US in unstated response to Mr Trump.
In addition, all shipments from the US to Canada are thoroughly inspection prior to release. This of course is VERY time consuming.
Metals (Steel, Copper, Aluminum) are in themselves a masquerade for POWER. Canada eliminate the discount on heavy crude (I.E. Power) so the price increased.

The US has a power shortage as they get green electrical power from Canada.

There was a story that there was a plan to use Naval Reactors to power AI Data Centres.

If USMCA goes away so do Canadian and Mexican workers it authorizes.

In 2001 (9/11) 80% of the nurses working in Detroit area hospitals were Canadians working on TN permits.
At four of the five (if not five of the five) would have to close if USMCA goes away.
In 2023 the actual number of these Canadian nurses was 1887.

It is unclear whether the US border folks as intelligent as these folks still employed.

As for the nurses, who in their right mind would want to make themselves for the ICE folks?

On D-Day Omaha Beach was the most difficult of the 6 beaches. The US forces eventually took it, however with horrific casualties.
Juno beach was moderately difficult. The Canadians cleared the beach on 47 (37?) minutes and met their assigned objective,
At the Battle of the Bulge, the attackers we American, British, and Canadian. Captured German commanders stated that if his soldiers determined the attackers were Canadian the dissection rate was 50%.
