What US calls Canadian bacon is ham. Canadian Bacon is not ham.
Canadian Bacon is a US invention. (English Muffins are NOT ENGLISH, They were first produced in NYC)

Canada has Peameal Bacon. It is actually a misnomer. The Peameal is now actually Corn Meal.

The Toronto St Lawrence Market has a vendor that sells a Peameal Bacon sandwich. Try it!

Juno Beach was heavily guarded, There were many casualties. The Canadian did meet their D-Day objective.
German Commanders stated that they had a 50% desertion rate when his unit was fighting Canadians.
That was due in large part to the way the Canadian Artillery functioned in support.
The changes made are used today. by RA, RAA, RCA, RNZA and the US Artillery.
However, the US Artillery to this day does not fully understand the principles that made it so effective.
